The specific feature of our idea is a compact, varied and mobile service under the Orthodox Church. This service helps to solve the problems of composite rehabilitation of suffering groups of population such as sick and disabled people who need care at home, the soldiers, wounded in local conflicts, and poor people. This service does not have a goal to substitute the state structures that already exist, but to deal with the problems, that have some gaps in their solution. So our main course will be the service of visiting nurses, consulting and addressed humanitarian aid. For this reason we need financial funds, transport, consultants, a computer and publishing network.

There are some favorable conditions to create such complex in Novokuznetsk city. Blessed by Sophronii, the Archbishop of Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk, and with the aid from sponsors we have already begun to build the church of the Saint Royal Martyrs, and we have already built the chapel of the venerable martyr the nun Barbara which is destined for praying and church services. The sisters of mercy from the Sisterhood of the Saint venerable martyrs the Great Princess Elizabeth and the nun Barbara can already work in hospital, drug store and work as visiting nurses.

The Administrations of Kemerovo region and Novokuznetsk city will support the further financing according to the Agreement between the Administration of Kemerovo region and the Bishopry of Kemerovo. The aim of this agreement is cooperation between the authorities, the secular structures, the Orthodox Church, and also charity organizations, enterprises and individuals.

Kemerovo region is a very polluted area, there are many coal, steel and other heavy industries. Novokuznetsk is not an exception. People in our region suffer a lot from different diseases. But for the poor people of the unprotected groups of society it is difficult to find money to have doctor’s consultation or to buy medicines.

The consultative clinic of the :Boon” fund will provide medical treatment to all the people in need. Besides this, people will receive spiritual aid in the church of the Saint Royal Martyrs. The soldiers, wounded in the local conflicts (Chechnya, Afghanistan, etc.) know for sure, that it is necessary to receive medical aid in combination with the spiritual aid. It is true for them and for people from the unprotected layers of society. That is why these soldiers will help in the future to build the temple. The sisters of mercy work hard at the Savior’s Transfiguration cathedral from its first opening-day. They know the necessity of their aid and service which they provide as far as possible because they see a lot of people who are extremely in need of it. All these problems prompted us to start working at this not easy task.

The aims and tasks of the fund

1. To open a consultative clinic. The sisters of mercy who have 4 years of special education will provide medical aid for the unprotected layers of society, disabled people, poor families, aged people.
2. To establish home visiting service of the nurses for chronically ill. This service will be provided by car.
3. To open a drug store of the first group.
4. To open a rehabilitation center for the soldiers wounded in the local conflicts.
5. To open workshops for disabled people.
6. To open a Sunday parish school.

The methods

1. In order to create a consulting aid we take into account the necessity of the skilled aid to the ill people. For this reason we will create the courses for the sisters of mercy. They will receive the 4-years education on the basis of the Savior’s Transfiguration temple and the spiritual College of Novokuznetsk. In order to organize the courses we need:

• The payment for teachers of medical and theological subjects;
• To acquire the methodological and studying handouts;
• To pay scholarship to the students.

2. The courses for the sisters of mercy on the bases of medical college will be organized in order to establish the home visiting service. This service will be destined for disabled people and those who temporary lost the ability of self-service. We need to keep an advising doctor, a driver, transport means to establish the home visiting service.

3. The joint participation of representatives from secular organizations and the Alliance of soldiers from Afghanistan is planned in order to found the spiritual and moral social complex.

4. We will organize the spiritual and moral, as well as medical and psychological service to support those who suffered in local conflicts. This project plans to create a gym, a massage cabinet, physiotherapy and herbal therapy using tea from local medicine herbs.

5. We plan to found a little publishing printing house for medical, cultural and enlightening purposes and for publishing our own newspaper.

6. The additional stuff from public employment department will be coaxed into the work. In general, they are women who want to get education and work as sisters of mercy.

7. We will open the workshops for disabled people that will give them moral and financial support.

8. The Sunday parish school is necessary for the spiritual and moral upbringing of people.

The spiritual and moral complex is to become a model for the society in the course of solution of the problem of social communication and healthy way of life. It has got to give social response to the movement and a socially attractive image. It has got to show a way of social conflicts constructive solution and a new way of life, of spiritual rebirth and revitalizing in Russia.

Control of the work’s course and the records

1. The leader of the Sisterhood of the Saint venerable martyrs the Great Princess Elizabeth and the nun Barbara and the members of the Fund will have meetings every quarter; they will discuss new problems and their solutions. They will also check completed work against outline and timetable of quantitative and qualitative indices.

2. At the end of the work the leader will make total and financial reports to present them to the financing organizations and to the state departments. If needed, these reports will be presented every quarter and every half a year.

1. After the Sisterhood will make good showing and will achieve the first good results, we plan to get future financing in the course of social order, therefore we plan to deal with the Administration of our region and our city. Besides, the Administration of Kemerovo region made an agreement with the Bishopry of Kemerovo on February 20, 1998 in order to develop social cooperation between the powerful secular structures and the Orthodox Church.

2. The future financing intends to use the private funds, the funds of enterprises and organizations.
